OK, let's try this again-Car Show Stn. Mtn.
There's a classic car show, live music, BBQ tasting event and craft show at the Stone Mountain Village next weekend (father's day weekend). I'm thinking about loading up the wife and heading over on Saturday. Any takers?

Also on Saturday, June 14, 4pm-8pm in Athens, 2008 Peachtree AutoFest, which is what I think I will attend, unless it's 98 degrees. It's being held at the Classic Center, 300 N Thomas Street, Athens, GA 30601. They are expecting
200+ cars, $20 pre-register, $25 day of the event. :3DSMILE: |
I think I went to that one a few years ago. It it's the one I'm thinking of, it was hosted by a local car club. One of their members brought 5 or 6 cars to the event and won a trophy for each. I felt fleesed. 200 cars is a good showing, but they DON'T have funnel cakes!

I don't know if it's the same show you're talking about, this is the 7th annual this year. I just looked up the 2007 show on the webpage Online Athens and the overall photo they have of the showground is stacked and packed with cars. The host club is the Peachtree Chapter of a Mercedes Benz club. :D

And, the monthly cruise night in Hoschton, about 1.5 miles east of Year One on HWY 53, starts around 5pm.

The last (and only) time I went to the Hoshton show, there were only about 15 cars. I like the town though. It's a real shame they killed old hamburger place up the street that had monthly shows. They did a good cruise-in. Weather for Saturday was sounding kind of iffy.
