GMP Diecast Rod Run/Open House Change of Date
This is a new message, just learned that the original flyer that was sent out had the wrong date. It's Saturday, May 9th at their HQ in Winder, located right behind Akins Ford. For those who wish to meet up, shoot for around 10:30am, Exit 126 off I-85 (Chateau Elan). Those coming from the north, exit to the right, then right onto Hwy 211. At the first light, there is a Marta Park/Ride on the right, meet up there and we'll depart around 10:45. It's about 15 minutes from there. Weather permitting, of course.

Johan, got a note from Gleide Beck last night, Chuck is having Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery today. My wife is a critical care nurse and said these procedures usually are not scheduled so he must have had some issues since Mitty, where he looked as good as ever.

Chuck made us some suspension shims to change the camber on the rear of the car, meaning he took one out Saturday night at the Mitty and went to his shop and made 10 more in various thickness and returned at 8 am with them ready to install. I called him yesterday to thank him again (there is never time at the races to carry on long conversations due to noise and schedules ) and he said he was at the doctor. I hope all goes well but if I know Chuck he probably went home last night and made his own bypass hoses with quick release couplers and a turbo.

Great day for a drive and show at GMP. Poor Johan couldn't get his mini-van started, so he had to roll up in the Bardahl Lola, not many of those on the mean streets of Winder!!! We had a nice little processional of 2 GT350's, V12 Ferrari, SPF 427 Cobra, and were joined at the show by an authentic 289 Cobra, a beautiful car.
