Well the time had come to change or repair the radiator.
I removed the stock unit which also happens to be a Serck unit.
I am told these were custom built and this not readily available. That said it was a close match to a Fluidyne just 1/2 inch shorter. The problem there is mounting pins don’t reach thus not an answer.
Also because of the additional DOT supports to the frame it had to be removed out the bottom versus like a Cobra our the top.
Well I found a local shop that did radiator work and soon found it was a recore.
Upon PU they said the core needed to be made custom as it’s a odd size.
Either way it passed psi testing and looks great.
If i get another 35years out of it I will be happy as it will hopefully be my sons problem then.

Installed and currently dry and holding 185f
Bit of a bear to install, but installed and all tidy.

John,

Exactly what I had done. The core was 36yrs, it was ready to be refreshed.
Found a local shop in Manchester NH that still did that type of work.
Harder and harder to find as so much is throw away these days.

Fluidyne was close but height was short which would have presented other issues with installation. The original a 4 core was stout just old. So the originality was saved and it’s got a new life which I hope will survive me in the long run.
Hoping it’s my sons issue next round.

So far, happy with results.
