Keith Craft 358ci.Shortblock $1995.00

This is a freshly built Ford 351W 358ci Shortblock. This block has been baked, tumbled, crack checked, bore and honed w/ torque plates, blueprinted deck, line honed, lifter bores honed, new cam bearings, new freeze plugs, painted and prepped for assembly. This shortblock includes: Felpro one piece rear main seal, ARP main studs, Eagle 4340 Steel 3.500" Crankshaft, Eagle 6.200" H-Beam Rods, JE Dome Pistons, JE Wrist Pins, Federal Mogul Heat Treated Bearings, and Mahle Plasma Rings. You can use a 70-72cc head if you would like to use pump fuel, if you want to run race fuel and some compression you can run a standard 58-60cc head. This would make a great foundation to your project.

Please call with any questions 870-246-7460

Keith, Is that a motor you could easily run fuel injection on and what would an approximate cost be to complete the motor (carb and FI) I have been contemplating building a 39 coast to coast roadster but I get so tired of seeing nothing but LS1 motors in therm. What do you estimate horsepower to be with this one in mild tune?

You could run carburetion or EFI on this engine with no problem. It would be best if you could call Tony or Lance at 870-246-7460. They would be glad to give you some prices and would have more questions to get you a correct price. The EFI stuff runs about 2500.00 and up more than the carburetion when all said and done. It just depends on what EFI you use so that is why it hard to give a price.
It would nice to know what price range you want to be in and this would help as well.

Thanks, Keith Craft

Thanks I will give them a call tomorrow. Estimated horsepower/Torque with either config?

Assuming pump gas compression with a hydraulic roller and a good head like the AFR 185 I would say in the 450 to 470HP range and about 450 ft/lbs of torque. This would vary with cam size and intake some.

Thanks, Keith
