Dear All

My name is Jörg from Switzerland.

Here in Switzerland is any Contemporary Cobra Daytona for sale. I've interest at this car. But the owner haven't any history information about the car.

Perhaps you can help me.

The Car has the Chassie Number USR2003. Is this a (Upstate Super Replica?) Is here a pre owner or builder in the Forum?

Is this a original Contemporary? What do you think in which price range is this car realistic. Other inputs?

Excuse my english.
Regards
Jörg

Looks like a CCX car. Might be a Lesher build.

Hoi Jörg

Schön Dich hier auch zu sehen. :)

Does the car have a Swiss registration (Grauer Ausweis)?
If yes the first, most likely impossible step, has been passed and you can think about buying this car. If not there is a 99% chance it will never get a Swiss license plate on.

On the price range you should have a look on Autoscout and check the Cobras WITH the Swiss registration only .
The market in Switzerland is special. As there is close to no possibility to register Cobras & Co in Switzerland (beside CSX2000’s and 3000’s with bullet proven history) the prices went up insane.

You can find for example:
> red Contemporary 427 Cobra for 218’000CHF (would be +/- the same in US$)
> blue Pilgrim for 88’999CHF
As you can see this prices are fare above the price you would have to pay in the US or UK. "Normal" price range in Switzerland for a non-aluminum Cobra is 90’000-240’000CHF.

Die spinned, die Schwiizer, soettigi Prise gahts eigentlich noh

Koennte man aeltere replicas in die Schweiz exportieren, etwa solche die in den spaeteren achziger Jahren in den USA eingeloest wurden?

You could import cars registered in the late 80's.
No risk, no fun

But you need to take the risk to have a great looking sculpture in your garden and not on the street.
Talk to the registration office FIRST

What's with the rash of Contemporary cars in Europe with people trying to get information on them? If they got there they must have had titles with them otherwise why would anyone buy them in the first place.
2 other threads.
