Looking for body bushing or rubber mount

I looking for a body bushing that is approx. 2 1/4 x 1/2 " thick.

I am looking to use to cushion the body when resting on the chassis.

Any ideas where to find them?

Sounds like some of the "donuts" that Chevrolet would use on their muscle cars for mounting the Fisher bodies to either a full frame or sub-frame. I would contact Classic Camaro or some of the other GM restoration parts houses and see what they have in stock. I'm sure Ford and Chrysler used the same parts, too...they were probably all sourced from the same subcontractor.

If you have a bandsaw or saber saw, you can make them.

Go to your local industrial gasket/rubber/hose supplier or on-line at McMaster-Carr. They will have sheet stock in a selection of material, thickness, and hardness (durometer).
