Awesome!
I sold 2 of my Cobras thru Cobra Country, and Cobra Registry helped me with my upcoming purchase of a new one. -glenn |
I really like the layout and system on CobraRegistry.com for listing a car. Curt has been doing it for a long time but it always seems like a big process to list a car and maintain the listing.
Good work. Let us see how the response is on the black car. Thanks. |
Oh yeah, how do I get my correct info in the Builders section?

Cobra Country could definitely us a face lift. Funny, I've never even heard of Cobra Registry...web site looks good. I'm sure Curt is a great guy and no one can argue with the results that he gets, but I wish (for the sake of the hobby) there was some way to validate that the title and registration for "for sale" vehicles is correct/legal prior to posting. I consistently see cars posted that say "registered in California as a 1965 Cobra, so no smog for the life of the car." |

The "Sidewinder search" certainly leaves something to be desired....

Normally that is listed in RED to make sure people see it. The DMV watches the sales ads also and the ones that just say listed as a 1965 will definitely get you into trouble. I know of two that have been bought and it wasn't a month until they got the DMV notice to turn in the titles. Ron :) |
Had never heard of cobraregistry.com. Cobracountry - has been a tremendous site for getting an idea of the market - and effective for selling - I sold my Unique FIA using Cobra Country 3 years ago, with great assistance from Curt.

Ron :)[/quote] Ron, I agree. This happened to me in 2005. It's a good ideal to say SB100 or nothing at all! |
A great deal of CobraCountry listings seem written by assembling stock sentences. I wish either the owners or Curt would be a LITTLE more specific, or go all the way to a fixed ad format with yes/no checkboxes and then a short description box for details. The site and the listing page are five years out of date and getting more annoying to use every day... by the time you've highlighted several sentences, highlighting becomes a mishmash, and I doubt anyone is still running a computer that has trouble with the "Big Picture!!!" selections.
Great site, but needs a refresh badly. |
Cobra Country is a bit out of date, especially with the pop up window when initially viewing, and for some reason, when I click on pictures, they go to the previous window! I don't know if it's just Firefox or what.
It's just a small problem, but if it's not broken - why fix it? Both are great sites, Cobra Country to view some nice cars for sale, and Cobra Registry to get some very useful info on all the kits out there. -glenn |
