Any interest in a billet fuel filter housing?
Since there are no repop fuel filter housings and the originals are so expensive, I've been thinking of making a billet housing in the shape and style of the original. My machinist is on board, if there is any interest. What do you think?

Nothing yet. Still in development. Thinking of using a sintered bronze or stainless mesh element instead of a paper element.

I can not get a picture to show up on this reply, but there is a picture of an original filter in my photo album.

Are you talking about the filter that mounts on a bracket on the front of the left cyl head on a 427? If so, there are reproductions available. Not that it would matter, but thought I'd point that out. I bought mine from a Galaxie or Fairlane 427 parts vendor.

Yes, that's the one. I have found the bracket at classic auto parts, but have not been able to find the filter canister. I would use a repop, if I could find one.

I see Classic Auto Parts shows one but you must "inquire", so I assume you have tried and they don't have one in stock.
You may try these guys:

They, too, show one but you must "inquire".
I know I bought mine from a Galaxie or Fairlane parts vendor, but I can't seem to locate the exact company.
There's a NOS chrome one on eBay right now.......

There's Galaxie Performance who also sells a bit on ebay. They are in Dewitt Michigan. I don't have a website but the phone number is 517-371-2396. I bought the filter bracket and clips from him years ago off ebay. He has a lot of parts and worth a call.
