Goodwood

My wife and I attended the Goodwood Revival a month ago. Simply amazing. There is no good way to describe it. Just go.

Every car was magnificent. There were five Cobras. I got their pictures in the paddock but when I tried to upload them the system said they were too big to upload. Per the program they were...

Entrant..............Drivers...................... ..................Year
Peter Raumann.....Johannes Offergeld/Barrie Williams.....1963
Conrad Ulrich.......Conrad Ulrich/ Brian Redman.............1964
Erica Austin.........Rob Hall/ T.B.A..............................1962
Ludovic Caron......Ludovic Caron/ Darron Turner...........1963
Bill Bridges...........Bill Bridges/ David Franklin...............1963

I went in my Kirkham and was able to park in the pre-'66 car park. I really is an excellent event.
It is almost worth going just to look around the car park. Some of the highlights included a couple of 4½ "Blower" Bentleys, 275 GTB/4 and 250 GT Lusso Ferraris, DB4 GT Zagato Aston, my Kirkham. ;) :3DSMILE:
Seriously though, a number of people came up to me and were thrilled to see an "actual" Kirkham. They seemed more excited than if it was a genuine Cobra. I wonder if we'll ever get to the point of having replica Kirkhams.

If you get the opportunity to go to the Goodwood Revival, don't let it pass by. You won't regret it. I would also strongly recommend that you go dressed in period attire.

It is a truly unique event. A step back in time to the classic years of auto racing. I was fortunate enough to go few years ago. Amazing to see valuable historic cars racing on the track and driven hard. I hope to go back one day.

JDean, I also went there a couple of years ago and have picture's in my profile. But sorry to say not one cobra finished. Two wreaked and the others had engine problems. Overall what a great time and you can't go wrong just walking through the parking lot and looking at all the cars.
