Does the CC site timeout more than it should?
I find that the Club Cobra site seems to go down or at least time out more than I would expect. Is this a problem that is localized to me or are others finding this an issue as well?

I notice it dropping off during the midday CST.

Same here. I am on Pacific time and around 10 AM to 1 PM many times I can't get on as I get an Opps This Link Is Broken error and then later it will work just fine. I couldn't get on just over 40 minutes ago but got right in now.

I find the same thing. Moderators - is this an issue with too many simultaneous users during this time period? Anything you can do to solve it?

Top Ten Reasons why the site might timeout during the day...
10. It is localized to you...clear your cookies of the porn sites. 9. Bathroom breaks for moderators. 8. It's Bush's fault. 7. It's Obama's fault. 6. We keep hitting the limit on the credit card. 5. It's a form of hazing directed at newbies, Texans and old farts. 4. We're expermenting with rotating bans. 3. siesta! 2. We're using rechargeable batteries to power this thing, and they have a limited power reserve. And the No. 1 reason why the site might timeout? Brent's converting the site over to Windows 7...Service Pack No. 6 ought to resolve all issues. Honest. :cool: |
Timed out here from ~8AM to 11AM EST today, Nov 20, 2009. No access at all until after noon. Just an FYI...

often unavailable in the morning around 8 am CDT. But is well worth the wait to try again in the late am. One of the top 10 automotive sites (of interest to me anyway).

You're doing fine. I noticed that the site was down early this morning. I poured myself a second cup of coffe and checked news sites. Not as interesting as Club Cobra but that's life. It's nice to be retired.:LOL:
