Pat-t, I hope you just put the top on for a photo, as it is not installed correctly. Look at the right and left sides of the windshield, then look in the middle. Notice the difference in the amount of chrome showing.

Hi, JB :)

Drove the Cobra to work today (as usual). Had snow on the ground at the house. First time this season, but even with "global warming", this looks to be a year for snow!

It was exciting getting you lined up for the Cobra laps at the Glen last year! Couldn't cut it any closer than you did... Glad you made it, and I know you had fun!

Hope to be able to do it again this year.

You saved me big-time. I would have been really bummed if I had missed that track action. Being the last car did have some great benefits too. I could hang back........then really let it rip.
Excellent news about your car! You can really wheel that thing in all kinds of weather!

FoMoCo, If you haven't a problem with paint scratches, use paint protection film where the top touches, BTW put it on the door tops also so you use the window with out causing any problems. Also, are you on SCOF never seen you post over there. Thx, db #2723

This is a custom top made for the FFR by www.whitbymotorsports.com.
It is an excellent piece of work and I love it.

zzmac........as someone else said; side curtains should have been matched to your car . Once you have installed them a couple of times you will get the knack of how to do it more quickly. they do fit when properly installed . it is best to store them with the sliding window in the closed position, minimizes the lexan from getting scratched .

my car has seen so much rain it could double as a submarine . these snap on tops are not leak proof but make the drives more enjoyable in colder weather or keeps you dryer in the rain.

there are several things to remember to protect the paint where the top snaps behind the cockpit or where the side curtains rest on the door or the dash area , assuming you do not have the 3M clear protectoro coating :

* quickest and cheapest is Painters Blue Tape - not pretty but for a quick fix it is ideal. I carry a roll in my trunk . it removes easily. Put the tape on the body where the top snaps and on top of door where side curtain goes , dash area too where side curtain rests . No more marring from top or side curtains .

* if you have more time before the top is needed , get some felt type material , or self stick mylar ( and cut it/ trim it to size ) and put that between the body areas where top/side curtains meet.

It is tougher getting in / out with the top on - but it sure extends your driving season/ or trips - I have the old style 2 bow top . kind of a munster look to it , but it has sure come in handy many many times . Bill

Patrick,
And once again you show your true color. Rectum, a shade of dark brown. You should be familiar with it, as your head spends so much time inserted in the colors namesake.

Ps.
I disagree totally with your "Half-Azz member" status. You are a complete Azz.

Dean,
Thank you so much for slapping some pus out of that infected penis known as Patrickt.
It is unfortunate that he is afforded the courtesy of a warning shot. Many others are not.

Matpatt,
Pay no attention to Patrickt. If its not and ERA powered by a fragile excuse for a ford engine (Read FE ) He will do nothing but spew Fe-cal matter about the inferiority of your car and the fool that bought it. Nothing good to add, just worthless, moronic diatribe.

But he does have two roll bars... snicker.... giggle
Don’t they look cool.....LOL :rolleyes::LOL:

Might I suggest we all take it up a notch and get back on thread topic? Please?

"I'll drive her in the rain before I put a top on her."

Now if my wife hears I said this, I'm in really deep s***. :3DSMILE:

Kudos to those that really need to use them and drive with them.

Blas,

Yes I agree, back on the topic.

I have used my top a few times and it does in fact work...somewhat. It keeps most of the rain off. It is definitely warmer and less blustery, (kinda like when Patrick isn’t around, but I digress). Just be realistic in your expectations lol.
It is a royal pain in the arse to get in and out of the car with the top on and hot pipes! Obviously not a design requirement when they built that top.

I think it is actually louder inside the car with the top on and the side curtains not installed.

I do like RACERALS soft side curtains, if your going to run a soft top, that’s pretty cool way to go.

Jim,

You are the man!
