Recommendation for a battery powered timing light

I'm looking for a good battery powered timing light that is proven to work with an MSD ignition system.

Any suggestions? Specific model number/link would be appreciated.

Thanks.

i have a flaming river fr-1001 battery powered timing light wich works good,i think summit or jeggs has them. if you are running a msd box they reccomend that you use a basic timing with out advance so you dont get any spark scatter when you are setting the timing.

I'll second that timing light. Flaming River fr-1001. I use it with my MSD 6A and all is good. I like the fact that it does not have the pistol handle like the traditional lights. I can get it into a tight spot ( like my 351w timing mark on the pass. side under the alt.) you can also press a button and just use it as a flashlight.

That looks like the ticket. Right price range also. Thanks again.
