Avoid Robert "Bob" Beverley!

He has stolen $5650.00 :eek:from me on a transport deal. I would not trust him with a tricycle. Currently having to involve the judicial system in efforts to get back my money.

I would recommend
Collin Stewart Transport :D

They are very professional, easy to deal with, great CS and on time.
$1700 AZ to NH

Intercity gives on line quotes w/ in 24 hrs. of request. I have used them w/ no problems. Horseless Carriage I thought was expensive for what I consider a short trip. Also try Gary Almond @ Almond Transport. One of my other auto sites swear by him. Many of my friends have also used Plycon the I think may be HQ'ed in the Northeast. Hope this helps

OK, Jeff's story was the one I was remembering. Nothing like a little Christmas cheer.:D

Intercity is really out there after business right now with specials being offered on the GT40s and Porsche Forums. I'm sure someone may have had a bad experience with them at some point, but I haven't heard of anything.

They seem to do a lot of work for Wayne Carini. They're always picking up or dropping something off on his show.

About 2 years ago I was quoted $1600. If you are looking for a sweet spf, silver with black stripes, roush 427 with 3500 miles in clear lake let me know. Not mine but a neighbors. Needless to say I would need a small finders fee.

Finders fee???? I thought we were all friends!

I heard great things about Gary Almond too, but his quotes have always been twice as much as the others.

I have heard good things about Intercity and Reliable. I chose FedEx because they are one of my largest customers and I know several of the execs. When my car arrived, as Patrick described, it was mostly push-button to get unloaded and the driver was very meticulous. It was in good company with a million $$ worth of cars headed to the 2009 Barrett Jackson in Scottsdale.

Doug, you're not getting rid of your car are you?

No, unfortunately I'm getting divorced and it looks like The Woodlands will be my landing zone. I'm bringing the Contemporary down there with me.

Moving to The Woodlands, most likely - does that count as Houston?

Thanks, guys. The car is far from finished and I need to complete that before I haul it down there. I'd rather finish it in Texas but I can't imagine that anyone will haul parts down. The body isn't even on it, although I could get that done in a night by bribing some local guys with beer and pizza. I just had no idea what it cost. Looks like a finished car shipped for $1500 or so is a good ballpark figure. I'm still talking back and forth with Nick and maybe have him finish it for me. We'll see. Thanks!

over on the gt40 forum intercity is offering discounts, whatever that is, discounts i mean.

Sorry to hear about the split-up. Been there, done that.

Once you get down here, give me a shout: I'm out on the west side in Katy. That's a pretty good stretch from The Woodlands, but we'll have to meet up sometime anyway!

madmaxx 12-18-2009 01:37 PM
