Where is the best place to get a expansion tank

I am looking for a expansion tank for the coolant system.

Where is the best place to purchase.

Tank needs to exit on passenger side

ebay has a few in various conditions take it to a radiator shop and have it pressure tested and soidered up spay paint it with high temp and your on your way...the other alternative is one from Kirkham in billet aluminum, or a new tank from one of the venders on this forum

ERA makes meticulous replicas, new, no corrosion or leakage issues, already converted for Cobra use (T-Bird ones are backwards and need a spout moved.) They may be able to provide an original style one as well as the converted one.

We make billet tanks for big block FE's, small blocks, Clevelands, and 460's. We also make both right and left outlets.

I was told that is was built by Southern Automotive for a Unique Cobra kit. It has never been used except for mock up. Send me a PM if interested.

Could you send me a picture and price on one for a 460?

Ronbo 12-23-2009 07:46 PM

I'm not sure how different to 460 tank is but here's the FE tank: http://www.kirkhammotorsports.com/parts/

BTW: David, did you know you lost the parts link on the front page when you added the billet book link?

RoknDad has a nice one in his gallery. I believe he told me he got it from Hillbank here in SoCal, somewhere around $400-500.
