CR Spring Replacement/ Load Rate

I posted once before and got a lot of good info. Now I am ready to change the springs in my CR. The mustang II suspension came from a 6 cylinder donor and the springs are weak. My car has a 460 with cast iron heads and a Richmond 5 speed. The intake and radiator are aluminum, but that does not remove a lot of weight. My budget does not allow for aluminum heads or coilovers so I can save you from suggesting that. I researched what springs are easily available and the they are Moog-8556. They are referred to as 425 pound springs. At installed load height they are rated at 1561#. People have suggested that I go with 500# springs. I only found one source and they are much shorter springs. I spoke to the vendor and they agreed that it lowers the car but the suspension is much firmer. I do NOT want my car lower. My bell housing and oil pan are probably no more then 4 inches from kissing the pavement now. All comments are appreciated... Thanks

HP.
If you contact "Blue Coil" they will have your springs or make what you need. 500 lb. springs are a little stiff, Maybe 425's or 450's? (For a CR height should be right at 11"s.)

Sorry I don't have their contact info anymore but they were a great sponsor for the Spring Flings!
