Cobra's in Vermont?
I don't hear much about Cobra owners in Vermont. Is this a void in Car enthusiasts? The Wife & I are taking a short Vacation to the Burlington area & I noticed no ERA owners on the Registry for the state & can't remember ever hearing much about owners in that state. Is there a reason for this?

We usually have to bring them in from surrounding states http://cobrasinthemountains.com/

There are Cobra's in Arizona. I was sure that in New England we had Cobras.

I hear crickets.... That looks like a great event!

There's a nice group of Cobra guys (maybe not ERA guys :D), the "Green Mountain Cobras". Seem to make a nice showing for the Lake George Summer Run. |
I have about 7 Vermont ERAs listed, but most of them date back into the '80s and '90s. Sometimes the cars migrate without me knowing about it.

Thanks guys! I figured being in the NE they couldn't be completely void of ERAs let alone Cobra fanatics & car enthusiasts.

The Green Mountain Cobra club had a website and all that good stuff for a while. I couldn't find it when I looked quickly today. A small but active bunch.
|
I couldn't find a trace of them either. Must be snowed in
|
Nah they're survivors and we haven't had much this winter.

OK - I started the Green Mountain Cobras. We are still alive and well but my web site got hacked by some clown in eastern Europe so I gave up on it. My son was the web master but just didn't have time to re do it. There are at least 20 or 30 Cobras here in VT. We do try to do a ride per month with different members organizing each run. Even ventured into NH last year for Mickmates picnic. We have just about every manufacturer represented including E-M, A&C, ERA, SPF, BDR and many FFR's. We will have our yearly organizational meeting in April when the roads are finally clear of the white stuff and we can bring the cars out of their hibernation. If you need or want to contact us, just reply to me here on this forum. In the mean time, I'm trapped in Florida until the end of March........
BTW - did you know you can squeeze an 18 ft fishing boat into a 20 ft race trailer? You can also put a complete dining room set in a 18 ft fishing boat too. Tim |
Good to hear! How are the roads for cobra driving?
|
Wonderful when the snow is gone!

Hey Tim, good to hear from the Vermonters, that was Jeffs cookout you're referring to. I'm thinking about a spring open house. Keep them guys hanging around the NE forum in the meantime and suffer through the heat.
