My first book signing!
Yes, the first book I was asked to sign was for a member of CC.
Just did it this evening. Feels completely strange to me. Thanks to that CC member! Some times you just want to share a great thing with your friends. This by no means implies the Colts will win. :D :D |

Tru, Congratulations. Are you ready to have a stamp of your signature made yet? Ron ;) |
so then we'd end up with a replica of his signature? ;)
Congrats on the book !! |
Congratulations Tru!
|
Tru, I just started on your book a couple of days ago. Can you tell us what genesis of the story is? You know, what inspired you to write it?
Thanks, Steve |
What an opportunity..."It was a dark and stormy night..." Sorry, I couldn't resist.
The original outline was done in 1985. I was working on my very first book ( it went nowhere ). I would wake in the middle of the night and write ideas down. The idea was Man was not kicked out of the Garden of Eden, Man earned the right to leave. I'm not going to do a spoiler, but this is one of four main things in the book. Given the title, there really is not much religion in the book. What page are you on? :D |
Dave,
I want to buy one of your books so do you take paypal? Clois |
Clois, thanks.
Just order it from Amazon. Type in Trularin and search. I get no deals or breaks. If you send it to me, I'll sign it. :D :D :D |
Clois, I am going to post the first chapter on my blog.
www.trularin.wordpress.com You can check it out if you want. :D |
Trularin,
Where in the heck is the rest of the first chapter!? Amazon :) ? DV |
Ed, that is the first chapter.
In the manuscript, it is two pages and set the stage for the story. It starts with an anomaly in Montana. In the book, it is five pages. In chapter 2, the hero is introduced and the story begins to unravel from there. Your going to have to buy the book to read chapter 2. The entire book was 210,000 words and when the editors got done with it, it shrunk to 191,000 words - 640 pages. I have had one person complain about certain things in the book. This person told me there is no airstrip next to a beach and the stones are different than described; he also could not believe I wrote a book. I have known him for over 20 years and he has had a jones for near everything I have done...including my Cobra, my hunting -- everything. But, I do not hold it against him, it is the way he is. Anyway, hope you buy the book. If you do, I'd be honored to sign it for you. :D |
Excellent...enjoy the moment. :)
|
You have accomplished more than most by writing that - hope you enjoy the
accomplishment for a long time. |
Tru, right now (as I am in the book) Paul is in the garden with the team for the second time. Great book so far, it keeps you involved. I did guess what happened with the Raptor well before it happened, but right now I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around who it was in the Lincoln......... More tonight!
Thanks for a good book man, Steve |
I'm hooked, wife and daughter are hooked, three books. Wonder if Amazon.com offers family discounts. :)
DV PS, Brother who is an author of mostly science fiction is now buying too! I assure you the only problem I have, is do I read it first then ask the privilege of having you sign the book, or send it first then read it? :) |
