Mine is about 450 per year. No set mileage but keep a log to show the events and club drives. 1,000 seems real high. My policy is an antique car with an agreed value.

Insurance
Charland. You need to shop for insurance. State Farm for example, via one agent in one area might be inexpensive and permit "general use". I have our two daily drivers with State Farm in Miami (for almost 20 years) and for the cobra they quoted me $1500.00 with a max of 1500 miles per year. I went with Grundy for $750 per year and 5000 mile annual limit. Normally the "specialty or collectable car" insurers will be your most economical route with a "replica". I thought Ct. had expensive insurance - but when I moved to Miami, my annual premium doubled. It's a good time to buy - the offers on the Backdraft and Superformance above are very good deals - and there should be some excellent used ones available with very very low miles (you might consider putting a 'car wanted' ad on Cobra Country first - to see who responds).

Don't know what your color preferance is but there is a dealer in Kentucky with a Backdraft for sale for $41,900, new, with a 1 year warranty. It's listed on Cobra Country - silver with black stripes.

Charland, I live in Kingston MA and own a Backdraft with a Roush 427R and many options. I would be more than happy to show you mine and go for a ride if conditions allow. I have been extremely happy with my car and dealer support. I think I am only paying $350 +/- for my insurance. Send me your phone number if you want more information and information regarding registration.
Best of luck.
Peter
