Does anyone run there car at Lime Rock?
I have a SPF and was wondering if there is any events or something which would allow me to go out on the track and run some laps. I believe i have to be part of a club. If someone has some information on this i would appreciate it.
Thanks! |
Yes you must run on a club day that has no noise restrictions.

Do i have to be a member of a club? And if so, is there a listing of clubs?

Usually the club days are open, since they need to fill with enough cars. We have gone with SCDA http://www.scda1.com/

PHM:
Be very careful if you get to run your SPF at LRP. It's a very fast track with lots of places to hit things. My total crash damage bill at LRP is just over $30,000! Make sure you're up to the task. It takes more than big balls to go fast around any track. Bob |
Lime Rock Track Days
SCDA is hosting a "no muffler" day in JULY. They are charging large dollars for 1/2 days. I don't think I am going. The noise limit for Lime Rock is a problem for Cobra's. I have done 2 track days there in my ERA FIA with the stock mufflers and my old motor but the new 347 with open pipes will probably not cut it.
Too bad because it's a fun track. Pat |
For the price and hassle (and very limited number of days that are unrestricted for noise) it is probably better to just truck to a different track. There are a bunch more now within a 5 hour loop...
