LOT# 351.1 - 2000 SUPERFORMANCE 427 S/C COBRA RE-CREATION -> HAMMER PRICE: $35,500 ($38,500. with commission)

Only 2,175 miles

http://www.barrett-jackson.com/appli...04%2f03%2f2010

For some reason, you they don't allow direct links so you have to enter "Cobra" in the "Style" search.

900 (906 if I can remember) series car parked behind me in tent #4, clean, nicer then the two Venom cars (both bought by the same bidder, strange enough, it appears they are making a market for the brand), nice blue FFR with a Fi stroker motor crossed higher. Nobody to tell anything about the SPF or the FFR, two or three people hawking the venom cars. Gavelled for 35.5K web page ads 10%.....Heck, I told my wife "I would have bought it for that" had I been inside when it went over.

I have been watching it and saw the Shelby GT Mustang with the wild paint job last night. I believe the proceeds for it went to charity, but I really didn't care for all of the pictures on it. But the paint was well done.

Does anyone know how much the Ken Miles GT40 sold for?

That Ken Miles GT40 was not even from the 60's.

Most of the Shelby cars were not that exciting.

$88K. And that's just the roller. Wasn't it an 85th birthday Superformance? I have pictures of it from the Las Vegas facility.

I think you're right.

"This Ken Miles edition MKII GT40 was presented to Shelby Automobiles in 2008. The first car in a run of cars to commemorate the Shelby American driver. It is a quality re-creation of the original GT40 that beat Ferrari and finished in the top three positions in the grueling Le Mans 24 Hours in 1966."

Coverage on Saturday went an hour overtime for some reason, nobody would bid squat on much of anything, seats looked empty and then the drunk dancing around on stage, gotta say that hour was the most entertaining of it all....

I saw several nice looking cars of all kinds that I thought went for a kind of low price. They weren't trailer queens and had some flaws, but I would have wanted one to drive anyway. It seemed to me that they had a lot of 1970 to 1972 cars there.
