Registering a Cobra in Pennsylvania

I know this is last minute but I wanted to ask anyone that has a car registered in Pa if it was a problem? I have a 2000 EM 1967 replica. It says on the title that it is a 2000 Tudor style. I am not sure what that is but I was wondering if they won't let it be registered as a 1967 how will it get through inspection? Does anyone have any experience with it? I am supposed to head down tomorrow to register it since the title just came in. Any information would be appreciated. I was planning on going before noon.

Thanks, I guess I need to find an Enhanced Vehicle Safety Inspector.

All you need to do is follow the rules for Reconstructed Title. I'm pretty sure thats all.

any inspection station can inspect the car

True any station can inspect but not all will inspect specialty built cars - Kit Cars...
You will need to locate a garage in advance who is owner friendly and technically qualified.

I used Best Tags to get the car register; again go to an experienced office. There is a Best Tags place on the corner of Rt3 and Rt 252 in Newtown Square who has processed a number of cobra like registrations. They provide excellent service and guidance

Good Luck

Talk to Chip or Jack at Thomas Automotive in Kennett Square about the inspection. They handled mine and they know the drill and they know Cobras. I had mine done before PA required the enhanced requirement, but I think that they now have their enhanced classification. Their # is 610-444-6229.

Wiggins Auto Tags (610-388-6995) handled the registration. My car is registered as a specialty construction. I did not want to fool around with trying to get an antique registration. Wiggins will tell you the best and easiest way to get your car registered. I had my car fully inspected/documented/tagged w/in 10 days of applying.

PA is actually pretty reasonable.

Thanks to all for all the great information. I went and spoke to Auto Tags Plus and they knew about the enhanced inspection so they guided me in the right direction. I will call Chip or Jack and speak with them about it. Unfortunately I don't have much time during the week unless I take time off and this coming weekend is Easter weekend. I am just anxious to get it registered.
