Fuel Log Inlet Fitting Size

I'm trying to gather info on parts necessary to install a Holley dual quad setup on my small block.

I've got everything pretty much figured out - at least I think I do - but I'm trying to figure out how to connect my braided stainless fuel line that goes to my current Holley to the fuel log for the twin Holleys. What I need is the fitting dimensions on the fuel log inlet. Is it something like a 1/4" NPT??? (I'm planning on purchasing a fuel log like the ones supplied by Ford back in the '60s.)

Information on the fitting size would be appreciated so that I can order the necessary parts to connect my existing fuel line to the fuel log inlet.

Thanks.

I believe the original fuel logs had 3/8" male hose clamp connections, at least Blue Thunder's Repros do.

On the Blue Thunder intake with Holley 2x4 from Carl's Ford Parts the fuel log fitting is 1/4 NPT so if you are using that kit or similar the threaded inlet is 1/4 NPT :)

Thanks for the info.

Parts are on order including the intake, fuel log and linkage from Carl's.:)

It is a 1/4 NPT on the fuel log. If you are running a pressure gauge on the dash Comp style you will need to add a 1/4 NPT to the other end of the log for the gauge line if it doesn't have one. Dearborn has a lot of that stuff also.

Just to be specific, that's Dearborn Steel Tubing he's talking about, one of the original manufacturers of a bunch of this stuff for Ford. Nearly all his parts are NOS. There is also Dearborn Classics, which also has a decent inventory of good repro stuff. :)

Hi Jim,

Should have my car on the road next week. Gumball?

Len, GUMBALL???

Definitely!!!

Me and Todd went on a 130 mile cruise last Saturday. Almost all of it on I-15, so not ideal back roads. But it was fun to get the car out of winter hibernation.

According to Summit, the local UPS driver should be delivering eight barrels of Holley product sometime today. So as soon as my order from Carl's Ford Parts arrives, I'll be doing a little spring upgrading.

My little old 302 may or may not run better, but it'll sure look better.
