Debris in Holley carburetor
Is there a resource anywhere on-line that gives detailed, step by step instruction for cleaning a Holley carburetor of trash or debris, starting with float bowls, then moving to metering block and needle and seat assembly until trash is found? (I have begin process of registering with SCOF, but am not yet in.)

You might try here:

Steve, good thought on manuals. I checked barnesandnoble.com and there are several books on tuning, rebuilding, etc. Holley carbs, one of which I am going to order. For today's purposes, Jeff with Keith Craft's shop and later Keith himself (from whom I bought the car) walked me through this over the phone. It was not that difficult, just had to dive in. The culprit was the gasket for the rear fuel bowl, which had deteriorated and was kicking off little bits of gasket material that fouled the needle and seat. I blew everything out and replaced the gasket with a new one. Everything now works perfectly. Got my baby back. Thank you for your help.

Glad to hear it man!

Holley's are very easy to work on (IMHO) take it apart carefully, lay everything on a clean towel or whatever and blow out every little hole you can find, you can also run a real fine wire thru them just to be sure, then re-assemble........I've had great luck with the blue non-stick gaskets, avaliable at Auto Zone or most any other parts place.......
