Small Block Dual Qual Setup: PCV Valve Question

OK, here's a follow-up question on my dual quad project for my 302.

I've purchased a Blue Thunder intake from Carl's Ford Parts and after discussing with a few guys including the Holley tech line, two 450 cfm mechanical secondary carbs specfic for 2x4 installations.

Here's my question: The Holley carbs do not have provisions for a PCV value (no port). I want to continue to run a PCV valve and am trying to figure out the best way to do it. (My current setup has a PCV valve installed in the rear of my passenger side valve cover. The hose is then routed to a PCV port on my Holley 600 carb.)

Do I buy a PCV hose fitting and install it in one of my air cleaner base plates?

If so, can it be installed on the rear air cleaner (I've got Stelling and Hellings air cleaners on order) or should it be routed to the front (primary) carb?

Is there a more elegant solution than using the air cleaner base plate as the vacuum source?

Thanks.

Mine runs to the back of the manifold.

Thanks for the pic. Beautiful setup by the way.

I checked this morning; my small block intake does not have a port.

Did your intake come with a port or did you have to drill and tap for one?

I will have to take a look at it when I get home tonight. I'm not sure if there is a boss there or not.

Called Carl of Carl's Ford Parts this morning while at work. He was pretty sure the Blue Thunder intake has a port on the rear of the manifold for a PCV fitting. Got home from work and re-checked the intake: Carl is mistaken, no fitting there.

However, I noticed that there's a threaded 3/8" NPT port on the intake runner to the No. 1 cylinder. Looks like that's were I'll plumb the line from my passenger side valve cover PCV valve.

Anyone see problems with that plan?

Ford used some thin plates that fit under the Carb with a tube attached (Boss 302 comes to mind) that allowed for the attachment of the PCV hose to a vacuum source. It will not work if attached to the air cleaner, not enough vacuum. That location is to attach to the oil breather on the valve cover.

The 385 series Blue Thunder manifold has a boss it looks like.
