looking at a 96 shell valley cobra, with 351.
will it have to go through maryland state inspection and emmissions ???

any one else from md.???

What Doug said. If the car is already tagged as a 1996, it will have to go thru the safety inspection. There is a way to get a permanent exemption from the smog requirements, but I don't remember how you go about it. Somebody on the CACC site should. You could also check with one of the state licensed titling agents here and they could get you thru the process for a nominal fee and save you a lot of headache and hassle. Terry's Tag and Title up near Reisterstowncomes highly recommended by the MD Cobra club as does Direct Express Auto Tag and Title which services the "Southern" area (Andrews AFB south). Where are you located?
