Crushed Kirkham at Mecum
Anybody know what the Kirkham (that was crushed for Iron Man I) sold for? I can't see the price on my Mecum account.
I'm very curious to see what someone would pay for it and if it even has a chassis number.
Who knows what might happen to it? Planet Hollywood? Spare parts? Unscrupulous motives??? Never in the Cobra world!

It sold on a bill of sale for $16,250.
"Two cars using high quality Kirkham aluminum body shells were built for the filming of that scene, the second being a reserve in case it had to be shot a second time. This is the mockup used in the filming of that scene, which was witnessed by millions of moviegoers. This famous movie memento will be sold on a bill of sale."

I don't have my registry nearby, but the Kirkhams gave them KMP #'s.

Hi Steve
I wasn't planning to make Monterey this year (again), but a possible trip west is on the cards, sadly on the wrong side of your continent, but you never know. Watch this space as they say....
