Newbie Please Help
I have been offered a cobra kit frame for free.
Just wanted some estimates on how much a body, mustang II suspension, etc. will cost before I commit to this project. We can talk about motor/trans later!

Tell us please, What / who made the frame?

OK, the frame was made by classic roadsters in Fargo. I understand that they are no longer in business. Body might be too hard to find....

CJ7,
There are NO bodies or OEM parts available for a CR Cobra. You might find someone willing to sell you a body that hasn't been build yet, but that proposition is going to be very rare. A guy from Houston just spent a year looking for one and I had ended up with the only one known that hand'nt ben built.

The guy from Houston is my neighbor! That is where I was getting the frame from! Any thoughts on frame mods for another type of body?

I dont remember the wheel base on those but you MIGHT be able to shorten the frame a little to make another Cobra body fit.....but ED (Double Venom ) could tell you more than i can about that...

B&B body
Bryan here from B&B manufacturing you are not that far away from us here in Missouri, I am sure that we could make the Mods to your chassis so that my B&B body will fit, take a look at my info at www.bandbroadster.com

CJ7,
I've only had a hand in building one B&B. The CR's is the largest Cobra on the market (I believe) at a 94" wheel base. Most other cars are a 90" WB. I was going to say if you have a qualified custom frame maker and a good Firberglass man I don't know why it couldn't be done. I would suggest a unique, MidStates, or a Contemporary body. Both hard if not impossible to get.
B&B now there is a guy that would certainly be qualified to do what ever Mods need to be but the cost maybe more than their whole kit? If Brian is close enough take him the frame and see heat he can up with a way o make it work.
