Where to Buy Coolant Pipe?
I'm replacing some coolant hoses with silicone, and there is a piece of straight pipe in my coolant system that I would like to replace with slightly larger diameter. The piece is about 8 inches long, and I would like 1.75 inch O.D. with hose bead at both ends.
I have been able to find sources for silicone hoses, but where do you buy the pipes? I was thinking stainless or aluminum. How about if you want a custom bend or length? Thanks! |
The muffler guys can probably supply you with standard or custom bends/lengths.

Looks like one of the stainless suppliers could easily provide the part. Now if it doesn't cost an arm and a leg.....

try also SpeedwayMotors.com. they have the silicone hose and aluminum connectors.

As I recall, one of those two suppliers was about 2x the other for bends/straight pipe sections. |
I called Stainless Specialties in Tennessee, and the 8 inch stainless hose joiner, non-polished, with bead welded on both ends was $18.00 plus shipping. I think that is a very fair price. Thanks to all for their input.
