Just finished a 427W on Thursday...

This engine was for Mark Kassab, a new Unique owner. He picked it up on his way to Gadsden, Alabama for installation into the car. The engine was just part of a complete drivetrain package that I provided for Mark, including a TKO 600 transmission, Lakewood bellhousing, RAM flywheel and clutch kit, and a Steeda Tri-Ax shifter.

I hope to post some video and pictures soon, but it was a very modest, streetable build which featured a Dart Sportsman block, Scat forged crank/rods, custom Comp camshaft, Wiseco pistons, and AFR 205 heads. Peak horsepower was 562 hp and the torque followed at 560 lb-ft.

Thanks for your business, Mark.

Brent,

That is just plain car porn! If this is a streetable combo with that kind of horsepower on pump gas, I would sure like to know the specs on that cam. Sounds like a beast!

Real nice numbers for a mild street build Brent. You should post more of your completed builds as they occur-I'm sure it would help the phone ring more.

Bob,

This one is absolutely meant to run on pump gas and was dyno'd with 93 octane. The SCR was a little under 10.5:1.

The cam wasn't anything special....just a custom billet Comp street roller. Mark wanted something a little revvy and fun. Peak hp was at 6300-6400. Torque was still very usable, peaking at 4400. Even at 5800 rpm, it was still making 550hp, with 475hp available at 4400. If he wants to stretch its legs, he can....if not, that's fine too. ;)

Well, so much for trying to snag video off the camera. I recently switched PC's and went from XP to Windows 7. My Dazzle video adapter/software doesn't work with 7.

I'll see if I can upgrade and hopefully get some videos up.

yea... I'd be interested in that as well... unless they've made some changes to the frame rails, or a filter relocation kit's gonna be installed...

I have to run a shorty filter, because of the (lack of) clearance on my 427W...

I believe he's planning to run an oil cooler, an Accusump, and some remotely mounted filters, so there will be an adapter mounted to the block instead of the oil filter.

I use a filter here in the shop when I prime the pump and check oil flow. At the dyno, a removable element filter is used.
