For the record:
Jamo, Thank you for explaining that Avatars can be blocked. I did notice your extremely large, shouting caps post “so you don’t see any damn avatars”.
I actually was never offended by your plumber’s crack avatar. There was tongue-in-check humor in it, or at least check humor and the “Censored” sign was statically positioned.
I am sorry that you are upset that I did not immediately reply to your explanation of user controls. As it turned out, the puking dog sex video was not an avatar and blocking avatars would not have stopped it.
I joined this site back 10 years ago and I hope that on the whole, I have been respectful to others. I have tried to be helpful and never thought that I was an "inadequate contributor".
Yes, there were several years recently that I had not been active. I got into Auto racing and my attention to the Cobra and my participation on this website got neglected. I rediscovered the site so to speak recently again and have been trying to be an adequate contributor again.
Times change. I will agree to disagree and contrary to what has been slammed at me personally I did not mean to go after anyone personally. It takes courage to stand up to one’s convictions.
I understand that as a moderator, your presumption of “the best way for the majority of the population” trumps my request.
