I've been piecing together a list of Cobra movies. But I really think there really should be two lists: One in which Cobras are featured in prominent "roles" (e.g., The Gumball Rally, Spinout), and another in which they simply make a background appearance (e.g., Blow).
I'm much more interested in the former than the latter. |

Don't forget 'To Catch a Predator'....

The Killers as previously posted has some decent footage of an early 260 or 289 being driven at Riverside as well as stock footage of the LA Times Grand Prix with Allen Grant in the yellow Cobra.

The Killers - 1964, Color, 125 minutes. Directed by Donald Siegel. Starring: Lee Marvin, Angie Dickenson, and John Cassavetes. Co-Starring: Ronald Reagan, Clu Gulager.
"The Killers" is a melodramatic thriller based on an Ernest Hemingway story. Two professional assassins (Lee Marvin and Clu Gulager) become curious that their victim, Johnny North (John Cassavetes) refuses to run from inevitable death. They know that North has been involved in a million-dollar mail robbery. Supposedly he has double-crossed his accomplices and fled with the money. The assassins decide to track down the man who hired them to kill North hoping that he will lead them to the million dollars. Their curiousity unravels the mail holdup plot which involves North's alleged girlfriend, Sheila Farr (Angie Dickenson) who is being kept by Browning (Ronald Reagan), a wealthy, unscrupulous underworld character. There is 289 Cobra racing action at a western U.S. race track where, unfortunately, the Cobra driven by North meets a fiery end. Info from a Cobra related website I found... Anyone got the film? or a uTube link to the racing scene? |

The Hitman Diaries Charlie Valentine

I know it's not a movie, but I recall watching an episode of the 60s TV series Batman, where the Bat Mobile races a Daytona Coupe on a twisty road. Has anyone else seen this, or are my dreams simply getting mixed up with reality???
