Thanks%/
Even I can tell that with my MK1 eyeballs. I was thinking more along the lines of paint codes/colours. It looks slightly off white to me.

Wimbledon white with Guardsman blue racing stripes. CSX4000 "continuation series"................

It could be mine as I am on an almost 10 year old Sony laptop at the moment ;) . Wife tells me I can have my laptop back in a few minutes. %/

Looks more like a Viper Blue stripe?

dcdoug 08-09-2010 03:52 PM

I bet it is either this: Intense Blue Pearl coat, Fleet, BC5357B

Or possibly LeMans blue, but looks to bright for that.

Here is a link with some of the colors and codes: http://www.gessford.com/cobra/images/HST-Colors.htm

Is the photo from an auction? You might be able to find the car list and see how it was described.

On my monitor it looks like the same combination as mine...........Wimbleton White with Viper Blue stripes!

I don't think it is a 4000 series car. The rear end doesn't look correct and the 4000 series cars I've seen have the rectangular tail lights. If it's not a 4000 then determining a paint code will be pretty hard.

I believe that is CSX3301 when it was at Barrett-Jackson in Scottsdale in 2007. Car has been repainted more than once so the particular shade of white is unknown.

Unusual car in that it was never invoiced or shipped to SA. It was completed by AC Cars for FAV in ENG with a 428 and sold to the first owner in France.

Thanks for the replies guys. The picture is from the Barrett Jackson auction. I am just in the process of building my second cobra really liked the look of it. Problem being I was hoping it was an off white/cream colour, not white. Anybody got any pics of a similar one in cream/off white with stripes.

767Jockey 08-10-2010 02:06 PM

Wimbledon White really IS a creamy sort of off white.

JST4FUN 08-10-2010 04:03 PM

I agree with 767, Wimbleton is definately not a bright white. It's got a creamy tint. I bought a white halon bottle which really shows the difference when I installed it behind the seats. For some reason there aren't a lot of Wimbleton's, which is fine by me!!
