Original Cobra - Painted Different Colors

Interesting Esquire article - Shelby - What I've learned.

Includes....

We brought the first Shelby over from England to California. A magazine wrote an article about it, and the next thing you know, other magazines wanted to test the car. So I had to paint it a different color for each magazine. I couldn't tell 'em it was the same car.

That's news to me (different colors - same Shelby), but probably old news here - just thought that I'd pass it on....

Yup, old news

This this an trick and continues to this day.
Remember the Vector supercar from the late 80's? I think the original 'multi painted' car was done in more colors than cars were made. %/
