Tonneau cover
Who made your tonneau cover ?
Looking for top notch quality, thanks Michel |
John Smythe
Heritage Coach Works, Mississauga I have not spoken with him for several years, the last # I have for him is 905-456-7575. He builds magnificent tops & tonneaus for Cobras. I believe he was the original supplier for Johnex & all the subsequent owners of Johnex. He did mine & it is the best I have ever seen on any Cobra, I believe they call the material (stayfast?) a cloth material they use on high end convertibles. Expensive but very good quality. Craig |
Thanks Craig,I called ,left message. I also contacted Phil and Kay on the FFR forum, supposedly they make nice ones too,it depends of the price they want. Thanks again !
|
Craig I called them yesterday but couldn't understand what the gentleman was saying,he had a strong accent and was mumbling and was not talking loud enough so I called back and hopefully I will understand this time, thanks !
|
Michel,
John does have a very British accent, Unless he has had a health issue that I am not aware of, I do not remember having any problem understanding him. Perhaps your best bet may be to visit him & have a face to face discussion. That is always good anyway as it eliminates discrepancies Craig |
Hi Craig, the voice on my answering machine was totally different from when I called to his business. I don't have a problem with british or irish accent because I work with a lot british guys and some Irish but that voice was one of a dying man. I will try to call back again, thanks for getting back to me on this, cheers !

Not sure who made it however it came from SAI, they must offer them?

Michel
I called his # today out of curiosity & got his machine, that voice is the voice I remember. You said the" voice on your machine" does that mean he left a message on your A/M that was different than the person you spoke with? If so was the voice on your machine the same as the voice on his A/M?? I would hate to think that the "dying voice" was John, as I found him to be a very nice & honest person to deal with. Craig |

Tonneau cover
Michel
I have a tonneau cover and top from an early Brackdraft (Venom) that I no longer have a need for. The tonneau is in excellent condition with the cut out for the roll bar. I had the top up once or twice (in the garage to see what it looked like!), the ribs are also in good condition. I would sell them very reasonably. If interested send an PM. |
