introduction to the site

Hello all;

I would like to introduce myself. Steven Nagle of Fort Myers, Florida. I have a E-M 427 body I built in 1990, I purchased an unfinished kit with motor, 4-speed and straight axle ford rear already mounted, mustang 2 front assembly. The body had not been installed and was not painted. It took about three months and some professional help, not to forget the caring friends that watched me and checked my work to prevent me from messing things up.

Now, twenty years later, four motors and various trans I still love this car. I have been rear ended at a stop sign, broke in to and gone through two tops, two paint jobs, several sets of tires, gauges etc... I am at about 180,000 miles and have always run the stock 302 motors. This car has seen every kind of weather and has been my daily driver five years at a time. Never treated like a princess, more like a work horse. I look forward to tapping into the vast brain power that exists with Club Cobra because I am still learning.

Steven, good to have you here! It's great to see that after 20 years and mucho miles that you still love your car! Had mine around a month 1/2 or so, 1500+ miles already, and I hope this feeling never goes away! It's great that your car is "Never treated like a princess, more like a work horse." I have always felt that cars like these were meant to be driven! I for one was not going to let where I live dictate whether or not I could own a cobra.....

azfordman - I'd like to see a thread where other Cobra owners challenge each other to the right of "Worlds Worst Cobra Driveway." :) Forget it, you've already won! :3DSMILE:

Steven - Welcome to CC! Talk about a driver, that's awesome! :)

Ahhh, Fort Myers.
We were in Estero for 12 months to the day. We had enough and come home to Texas. I have to admit, listening to the waves lap up on the shore every night was nice though.

Welcome to the club.
There is a wealth of information here.
Just ask, someone will tell you what they think! :)
LOL

I'm finishing a cobra for my brother and should deliver his in October 2010. Then, my cobra is going to get it's third rebuild. I have a collection of Cleveland engines and will be upgrading to 351's and 300 hp. Anyone needing Cleveland parts let me know, last count I have about ten sets of four barrel heads, half a dozen four bolt main blocks etc... Frame inspection and suspension rebuild and body repairs. I am having a hard time finding side curtains with two post for an E-M body and will end up building new frames for those.

There are two ways to post pics:

1) To the pictures and albums that are attached to your profile (that option came with the forum software that CC uses). You can only see these if you go to your profile page.

2) To the Gallery, which is what most look at when they click the camera icon below your name and where people expect to find pics (it was an upgrade package to the CC forum software). You should re-post the pics to the gallery so people can find them more easily (there is no way to migrate them over - ask me how i know).

I learned all this the hard way too......
