New 5.0 engine
What would be the best Cobra replica for the new 5.0 kit Ford is offering?

So you're buying a car to fit your engine?

The new 5.0 is the old 4.6, very big heads and all.

FFR plans to have it as an optional engine choice.

Not really, it is very different and somewhat smaller. The bore spacing is same so it could be machined on the existiong tooling. Nothing else short of oil interchanges.
Superformance will offer the option of chassis' set up for the 5.0.

You can order your Backdraft Roadster with the 5.0 install kit now. It looks great under there. The engine is certainly not smaller than a 4.6. It uses the 4V heads so that's bigger. It's also bigger in the belt/accessory department.

I was comparing it to the 4.6 4V, not the 2/3V version. It is slightly smaller dimensionally. Looks good in your chassis.....

Are there many FFR mk IV's out there yet?
I think that would make a nice combo.
What would you need to change on a 2002 model Superformance set up for an FE to make the new engine work, or would it even fit?

Yup, its totally a hybrid. Dimensions are tough to compare. It's tight down low and up top. But more room in the middle???
