SAAC Registry

Question:

How often is the SAAC Registry printed?

If I give them my info now, will it make it in the next edition?

Thanks,

rodneym

The latest registry documentation I believe has already gone to print, so the information you give them now will be in the next registry a few years off (SAAC produces registries every 10 or so years).

For what type of car? The past versions of the Registry had everything in one volume. The newest ones are split out by into multiple volumes. The Cobra and GT40 one is a done deal, and, like the above poster said, it'll probably be at least 10 more years before they attempt another.

The 65-67 Shelby Mustangs and T/As volume is either at the printer, or soon will be. If you have a 66 or 67, you might want to get ahold of them and see if there's still time.

Everything else - send it in.

The latest Cobra/GT 40 registry came out a couple of years ago....long awaited. I would expect it to be quite a few years before we see another.

But then again, Rome was built in a day.

OK, then.
No rush.

It doesn't hurt to send your information to the registrar now even if the next Cobra registry is years from publication. The registrar will start recording the history of your car, the original options, the ownership chain, etc.

That way several years from now, if someone who gets a reproduction Kirkham serial number plate and tries to put it on something like this with your serial number...

You will have established that history of your car and there will be no question of who owns the "real" Kirkham with your serial number. ;) :JEKYLHYDE
