460 ALT/PS brackets
i'm looking for a good set of brackets to mount both alternator and power steering pump to my 460 in a Midstates Cobra. I have the alternator on the driver side already and would love to find a bracket to mount the power steering pump on the passenger side. i could switch sides if necessary, but I'd prefer to leave the alternator where it's at so I don't have to lengthen my wires. Does anyone have any good sources for brackets?
Thanks. |
im probably going to wind up making one for my A&C. I have the 460 and March pully setup. The alternator fits fine, but the P.S. pump hits the frame if I use their standard brackets. It uses a saginaw P.S. pump

imfastrnu2,
Here's mine (Ignore the red arrow; that's the dipstick location): http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/d...ront1arrow.jpg I know they're reversed from what you have, but it's the only one I have. If you do this, make the pivot point for the belt adjustment for the PS pump different than shown - mine has very limited adjustment range. Tom |
