headlight assembly help
Can anyone help me out here, I have a set of headlight kits and no clue how to put them together and mount them. Normally I can figure anything out given enough time but I have looked at these a number of times and still can't get past the light to the adjustment ring after that I go:confused:. Is there a good set of instructions maybe from a pdf manual that someone could e-mail me, and if there is a cutout template that I could use to trim the cutouts to fit.

Here are two shots of mine. The first has the headlight out. You can see the only thing in the fender is the big black plastic housing. The next shot has the light installed and it is held in place by the flimsly metal ring that also allows you to adjust the headlight angle with the two screws at the top and side. You then put the nice chrome ring around all of this and it is secured by one screw at the base, around four o'clock.

Dump the plastic buckets and get the OEM Triumph stuff! I battled many hours trying to get those Plastic buckets supplied by a vendor here on CC to work and I just about drove myself nuts! No instructions, no adjustments, really just junk stuff. I went to a local British junk yard found a good set of used buckets. I cleaned them up, great fit, fully adjustable, look right, can't bet the OEM Lucas stuff! There on ebay from time to time too.

What years and model of Triumph would a person be looking for if I was interested in changing my plastic buckets over...thanks Steve.

Here's what I used, I believe. Their on ebay#260666270815. They end soon. I used these with the lights and chrome rings from the plastic kit. You need the metal pieces that hold the lights in though.
