For those building their own headers

I have a friend that is building a GT40 pretty much from scratch. He has been trying to figure out how to do the headers and came upon this system. It's pretty neat. Wish I had had it years ago on some of my projects.

I have worked with Victor (the Owner) of ICE as they are located in Austin. So far he had made 2 sets of Cobra pipes for me using his tools. Nice thisn is you can see what you will buildthe headers and be able to mathchn length way before you cut tubing allowing opportunities to really make it right the first time.

One set in Stainless for the Blue Exact 427 Carbon car. These were cool as they had to tucked in close for the undercar exhaust from the 351W and transitioned to Oval Tubing from Dr. Gas to allow ground clearance.

The last set I just recieved for my White Carbon Car, he made the headers to connect to the original style slip fit side pipes Roger @ exact sources. Unfortunatly Roger's sources only provide 427 headers so I was on my own once again working with the 351W. This set was made in mild steel and will be ceramic coated soon.

If interested the system from ICE is available at Summit racing.

Later,
Richard
