Windshield clearance to body?
I am just about to install my windshield and wonder what should the clearance be between the lower metal frame and the body. I did a search and found windshield angles but not clearance. Any thoughts?

I don't think there is any set specification for your concern. The rubber seal strip will create some small clearance but you could slide some strips of thin cardboard (or similar) under the frame prior to tightening the mounting bolts. These would then be removed. an extra set of hands helps out considerably. Just an idea.

Mine's about 5mm or 3/16" gap and the rubber strip lies plenty flat at that.

That's what I needed. I knew the metal frame did not rest on the body.
