Where is a good place to buy leather by the yard?

I would like to recover my dash in leather-currently it is vinyl. Is there a good place to purchase leather on line or some other type of material that you all might recommend?
Thanks

My understanding is leather is sold by the hide but you may be able to find what is called remants which is scrap from die cutting

I bought a full hide from them when I did my interior for the dash, the glove box, the side pockets and the top of the trans tunnel. You tend to get what you pay for, so cheap leather will look and feel cheap. Don't know if you will have a store nearby, but it's best if you can go in and look and feel the leather before buying. Here's a pic...

That is a good looking dash and the look that i am after. What did you put behind the material to give it the plush look?
