Delk Performance-Nashville ??
Randy, DV Jr. is approaching a job with the mentioned company. Seems they are mainly a speed shop. He'd love to move to Tenn. but is leery about being hired by a company he knows nothing about!
Looking for any information someone may have.?? I know you don't need my permission to move this post so please feel free if it should be somewhere else. I guess they do build Cobra motors but their mainstay is Mustangs! Anybody? DV |
I live a couple of hours from Nashville. Great town. I have never heard of Delk Performance, but I do live in a small town in Alabama.
There are several Cobras in the Nashville area. A lot are FFR's. Maybe you could make the same post on the FFCars site. Dwight |

I live in Nashville and have heard of Delk Perf. for several years. I do not know any specifics since I have not used them personally. They are located out near the Nashville Super Speedway. From what I understand, they do a lot of tuner work and have a chasis dyno. As far as the stability of the co. and what type of work place...again, I know of no specifics. I will say that in this economy, Nashville has faired rather well. If Randy comes to Nashville, and the Delk gig doesn't pan out, I would be willing to bet that he would find another niche fairly quickly. Since I do not know the specifics of his situation this may be of no value to you. On the other hand, Nashville is a great place to live and offers a lot of oppurtunity for someone willing to get a start. John |

They are a small speed shop. They owner seems to be a nice guy from what little time I have spent talking to him. I had my car dynoed at their shop and found them to be knowledgeable and curtious. |

Think it may be worth a transfer from S.C. for the job? They are waiting for him, but giving up a full time job, (especially in today's economy) makes a guy a little nervous. But then again if their (Tenn.) work base is indeed running it may be worth the risk? At least they are known in the area. Randy was a little worried he might end up being in the next "Deliverence" movie! :MECOOL: But, he is a heck of a Drummer if all else fails! :) |
