used Sunburst Wheels
What do you need to know about these wheels when buying a used set?
Do they have porosity problems, because some seem to have a black coating on inside.
Do the tend to loose air or corrode with age or exposure to salt air?
Can tubes be used inside wheel?

They didn't have the porosity problems of magnesium wheels. The Sunbursts aren't known for being a real high quality casting but a good visual inspection should show any issues. Magnesium are the ones that leak right thru the rims. As you point out it's all easily fixed with a tube.

Aluminum, cast by Kelsey Hayes as the Halibrands were getting tough to get.
