Not sure yet. Don't have the complete picture in my mind. I like the blacked out cylinders or even completely blacked out. I'm thinking a tad on the rat rod side but good components. The guy I bought it from is building a CB350 cafe racer. I'm 6'3" so I need something with a bigger frame but I love the twins.

I guess you either get it, or you don't.

Nice ...

VERY pretty! Great job! Is it a combat? Superblends in the lower end?

Yes, it's a Combat with Superblends. Also did an internal crankcase mod to help oiling. Bike has about 9,000 miles on it. Forums and owners group very helpful.

When I was a young man...

The most fun I ever had on dirt was a Suzuki RM-125. So light weight it was very quick handling. The lower power of the small motor kept you plenty busy searching the 6 gears for the right one. A very involved in the process type of bike, great fun! To old and to fat for that kind of bike now, but ah the memories... :) Sometimes, smaller is better, I like this picture as an example.

Ex,
Your photo and the clean simplicity of the bike reminds me about all "first bikes" growing up for others here too. Maybe the list below will jog some memories for others about what they had growing up. ;)

I bet we could just have fun here with a thread on "Your first three motorcycles growing up as a young kid...". Mine, in order starting with these were:

-1972 Honda SL70
-1973 Honda XR75
-1975 Honda CR125M Elsinore

From there, in my teen years it was onto Yellow Yamaha YZs, etc. Today, werkin' on three Honda SL70s now taking three into two complete ones just for fun. Fun and clean little bikes. I'll insert a few more photos later...

The 124" Harley will be gone this spring and in it's place will be a 502ci Boss Hoss.Have wanted a V8 powered motorcycle for a lot of years, now is the time!

Marvin 12-12-2010 11:50 AM

Sounds like fun to me.

mdross1 12-21-2010 06:15 AM

Talked to a lot of people about these V8 bikes and in the end sent a deposit to buy a 406" 550hp motor,700hp on Nos.Hope to pick it up next month.

TButtrick 12-21-2010 06:47 AM

V8? Don't be such a sissy.... go with a V12.

:) Now THAT is a cool V-12 bike. Interesting how the low profile of the flat head fit's nicely into the whole scheme of things. More clearance, less clutter. Well done!

When I'm not working on the Cobra, my son and I love to ride in the dirt. It's been the best bonding experience you could ask for with a teenager. I have owned street bikes, too, but I got tired of running the traffic gauntlet every day to work. Too many cell phones and distracted drivers out there for me to feel safe any longer. And when the car makers decided to outfit their cars with daytime running lights, we motorcyclists effectively disappeared from the public's view. We used to be able to ride with our headlights on and stand out from the traffic. But no more....

We own several dirt bikes now. A Yamaha YZ250F, a Suzuki DR350, a Penton 175 Jackpiner, and three Honda CT 70s.

Marvin 12-21-2010 05:22 PM

My son and i had a Penton trials bike long time ago, fun bike.

Marvin 12-21-2010 05:24 PM

Also had a bike, i belive was Sarasen, was realy light and lots of fun.
