Holt, I did not use the plate that is being talked about due to my Twin Turbo set up. I ended up using a Wilwood reverse pedal system and fabricating my own mounts. I can get some pictures of the steel angle that mounts to the frame, as my body is not on yet, and I have the large plate in my garage. If you would like it I can ship it to you, all you have to do is pay the shipping charges. Let me know.

Earl

The pedal box attaches to the top of the plate on the inside and the master cylinder attaches on the outside, in the 4 holes surrounding the large hole.

Earl, I would like nothing more than a couple pictures of your frame without the body.I've been searching for photos like that since I first had the problem with the brakes. Especially of the drivers side. Mainly I want to compare someone elses frame, who is positive their car is a SB/CMC, to my own. Hopefully SB/CMC has used the same general frame over the past few years. If they are very similar, I will more than likely be interested in buying that plate from you.

You can email me at holtenc@gmail.com

You put those up quick, even before i could finish my reply to your first post.

THANKS!!!

LOL.............your very welcome........I was sorry to see StreetBeasts go under last month, even though they were a "sorry ass company", sorry for those that still needed parts and pieces......I lucked out and got all of my pieces a couple of years ago.

As stated, if you want the plate, no need to "buy it", just pay the shipping costs on it and it is yours. I have been helpen numerous times by people on this forum and am glad to pay it back. I can also get the exact measurements on the inside floor anchor piece if you need them. Hope this all helps.

Earl

PS. Let me know if you need any more pictures and I will get them for you.

I absolutely do not have either of those plates. I do not think the plate you are willing to part with would work with my master cylinder setup. That lookes like it's for one big cylinder. Where as I've got 3 smaller ones in a row: clutch, front brakes, rear brakes.

If you refer to that crappy drawing, on the first page of this thread, that I made of the 1/16th inch plate I currently have, you can get an idea of how they are mounted. The plate you've got just isn't wide enough. However, I am still very greatful for your offer. Good group of guys around these forums.

I took a peek at the rest of the pictures in your Photo Gallery. The pictures of your bare frame from 2003 are very telling. Now I'm fairly certain my car is indeed a SB.

No offense to you streetsnake, if you read this. You just didn't seem 100% confident of the kit manufacturer on the phone, plus I think you said "I think/believe it's a StreetBests". :)

Earl's is definitely a Streetbeast. The drawing and plate he has is correct for the car. It was meant to be used with a Mustang 2 MC or vacuum unit. I had a CMC and this is exactly what I had. I took it out and ran a system from a 99 Mustang Cobra with hydroboost.

I have no doubt that the plate and the associated drawings are correct for the car. The guys that built my car didn't exactly go by the book, and made quite a few changes/modifications/part upgrades along the way. which wasnt a bad thing.

Yep, I know what you mean......I have done quite a bit of that myself.....Holt, sorry, I missed the part about your 3 MC's.....DUOH.....oh well, now at least you get the jist and know that your mounting plate is a little on the "THIN" side(wish I was, LOL)......I have the 3 MC's too, but went with the revberse set up and they are now under the dash, securly mounted to the dash hoop.

If there is anything else you need, pictures, etc., let me know....I have, albeit a little lacking in some areas, a complete build manual that I can photograph or copy for you if you need a certain area of it.

Good luck and Happy New Year....................Earl

If it's any help I found working on the foot box a lot easier after removing the steering wheel. I still only get one arm in at a time but I don't bang my head as much.

I met a guy at one of our local cruise nights who had just moved into the area. He said he had a SB's but did not have his car with him that night. Knowing of their less than stellar reputation I wasn't too impressed. A week later when we got together, he had a very nice car. Not at all what I was expecting., Very nice. Yours looks very nice too. Good luck.

I check the forum on occasion usually to check for nice parts that I wish I could have and see if any new cobras are hitting the road. This forum is tremendous and I wish I had found it before I started my search for a cobra to build. The manual for this car is worthless, I will say I didn't have any spare parts left over that weren't replaced with higher quality ones. Maybe they made a change after mine(yours)??? If it makes you feel any better for the money I had it that one I could have been driving around in a Kirkam or CSX. I'm the original owner, I traded to garafolo, I thought he was a dealer but he told me he was looking for a car for himself, guess not.:) Did you buy it from a dealer or individual? If you ever want to sell her let me know. Just once I got it broke in and all the little issues worked out I got rid of it for another car with issues. Every car I've had that I thought wouldn't have issues, had issues!! My luck.

All cars will have issues building them just because! I have a lot in mine but had no choice for the performance level I needed.Redid the frame to get rid of all the mustang stuff, run under car exhaust and set it up for tubular suspension with Coilovers, then had it scaled to road race.Dual WillWood masters for the 12" WillWood Ultralites all around. In the end this car turned out to be as good as any out there regardless of reputation.Love the softtop now looking into hardtop.
