SOme Questions for a newbie
Hello all, with a bit of luck I will be picking up a Shell Valley Cobra on Tuesday. What can you guys tell me about Shell Valley? The car was supposedly built by Shell Valley in 2008 and has 700 miles on it. I am being told by the seller that it was a manufactured car not a kit. I know SV makes kits so I think might be incorrect. I don't see where Shell Valley sells a turnkey car, maybe I missed it. I have no problem if it was built by someone but I'd like to know where the car came from and who did build it. I'd also appreciate anyones thoughts positive or negative with respect to Shell Valley. The car in question has a 351 with a Tremec 5 speed, posi, power steering, 4 wheel discs. I'm not crazy about the wheels that are on it (17" polished American Torque Thrusts) but the dealer said they'd buy those back. If I do get this car which to my eyes does look new,I'll probably have a ton of questions. Appreciate any input .............

I went for a run last summer with two SV Cobras and thought they were awesome. It is amazing to see a Cobra for sale with 700 miles on it. Mine had 1,700. It is not even broken in yet! I wonder how often the speedo is "adjusted" to to keep the mileage low. That is hard to do in a modern car, but I bet I could even figure out how to do that in my Cobra. I would be interested in the story of why they are selling such a great car after 700 miles. Get someone to look at it before you buy if you can. I think new buyer's eyes are so glossed over they can't see what they are buying. Every time I think of my Cobra I call it "Distraction Overload". Good luck!
