Original 427 street exhaust
Does anyone have a photo the the tailpipe section of an original 427 street exhaust. This would be the section that runs from the rear of the muffler/silencer goes up over the top rear wishbone and back down along the side of the gas tank and out. Would like to see how the bends are shaped before I begin to make and piece the sections together. Thanks.

You didn`t tell us which car or the year... Galaxie , Fairlane ( very rare for the 427 ) ?? I have a 1963 1/2 Galaxie 427 in the garage ... and somewhere , I have a bend diagram/program from an old muffler shop for the 1963 Galaxie . Shows all the bends and angles etc . I`ll try and find it if you have a 1963 .... don`t know if it`s the same for the later models , but doubt it . Also , the convertibles are a little different as they have a frame cross brace for more stiffness .... which means you can`t use the original H pipe crossover the other 427`s came with .
You might also try Gregg Donahue down in FL if it is a 1963 or `64 Galaxie . He may have some old manuals etc . as he specializes in those year Galaxies .

Hi Larry, Thanks for the photo. There are a lot more straight sections in there that should make things a little easier to set up. I want to do a template system before I take it to a bender and have a single stainless pipe bent. Really appreciate it. AJ

Hi Bob. Your right. Should have noted it was for a Mk 3 Cobra. Got a good photo from another member that will really help me out as I start fabricating the sections. Thanks so much for your help anyway. AJ
