Anyone using "Bridjit" curb ramps for screwed up storm curbed driveways?

Yesterday I finally bit the bullet for a system to help with my damned storm drain curbs in my neighborhood....Cobra would scrape the frame if I didn't angle it perfectly and at the right speed...SOLVED. GT was even worse....SOLVED. With the GT I still need to go at a bit of an angle, as that car has a nose on her that only a father could love. I had to pull ramps out/in every time I used the car which was a pain in the ass! Rest of the cars, well, bouncy bounce, and my dad's family car scraped no matter what. Ahhhhhh!!!!

Ordered yesterday, and by chance they are in the same county as me, so the owner of the company delivered to me today free of charge. << That was great service...Even his wife was with him and they set everything up for me. Worth every dime in my estimation...I probably should have gotten one more section, but will likely do so down the road.

That / Those ARE impressive!
Course you could have a dirt/sand/gravel driveway! :(

It's hard to tell from the pictures. Are you on a cauld de sac (or however it's spelled) or is it straight?

Brent Mills 12-16-2010 05:33 PM

Ed, I just might have traded a gravel driveway for the hassle I went through every time I wanted to drive the GT. Load big metal ramps from the lift onto a dolley, drag it out to the end of the drive way, align them, put boards between the driveway and the top of the ramps because the ramps don't contour to the curb, then back the car up and into the lawn so I could turn around (jockey it several times) to see if I was driving onto the ramps, then hope for the best as I lost sight of the ramps. Same thing when I return, and now I have to pack the damned ramps up (those suckers are heavy!).

Now, that's all behind me, so yes, I agree, it could be worse with a sand/gravel/dirt driveway. :)

John, I'm on a culdesac (I don't know if I spelled it right either)...They can contour fairly well as it's sectioned held together with 4 long bolts that you can leave with play to adjust for a curved curb.

Nobody else has them?

tcrist 12-17-2010 01:25 PM

Brent,

If I understand correctly, they bolt together so they will not come apart, but what keeps them from moving around in the drain curbs. Meaning, what will keep someone from relieving you of them in the middle of the night?

Brent Mills 12-17-2010 02:30 PM

Well, you could bolt them down potentially, otherwise, they do weigh about 150lbs and don't seem to move out of place by themselves.
