White Christmas

Here's hoping all of you have a Very Merry Christmas!

A long long time ago (in a galaxy far away) my wife and I started watching White Christmas -- Bing Crosby, Rosemary Clooney, Danny Kaye (who I met, another story) and Vera-Ellen -- on Christmas Eve. The DVD is on now, even though it's playing on AMC (too many commercials).

It was about 45* today, and the Cobra has a new clutch. It went for a spin around the block (20 miles). Work great. Photos tomorrow in the other topic.

We watched it last night. It's a family tradition here as well (along with Christmas Story). If the General retired today, he'd be making big bucks as a lobbyist for military hardware instead of carrying firewood in some Vermont ski lodge.

I thought we were the only ones that watched Christmas Story too! It's on the TV right now as we wait for the oldest daughter to get here. You'll shoot your eye out.

As a Christmas Story tribute (and joke), we bought a Red Ryder bb gun for our 2 year old grandson two Christmases ago. Needless to say, it went back to Walmart; we didn't want the kid to shoot his eye out.

Wow Tony, Around the block = 20 miles. You sure have big blocks there. Merry Christmas to you all.

Well, it's kind of a rural area :) I let my best friend here who is also my mechanic drive it. He takes care of everything for me including normal maintenance of the Cobra but this clutch job would have tied up one of his bays for an extended period and he doesn't have enough storage inside. Anyway, between the clutch and the DFI work, it's now running like a real champ. Rear wheels only started to break loose once. Really need to get some stickier tires.

That is pretty much the "mantra" of all Cobra owners, the eternal and never ending quest for more traction. :)
